
Wire Electrical Discharge Machining, or Wire EDM, is a process that uses a thin, electrically charged wire to cut through conductive materials with incredible precision. Instead of cutting with physical force, the process works by generating a controlled spark between the wire and the workpiece. Each spark erodes a tiny portion of the material, gradually shaping it into the desired geometry. Because the wire never actually touches the part, the process eliminates mechanical stress and allows for tight tolerances, smooth finishes, and the ability to create intricate details that are often impossible with traditional machining methods.
